    Complaint against being compelled to surrender existing connection and get new connection to get contracted speed – Jio number 1203514381

    I have purchased jiofibre Silver plan under account no.299941325819, jiofibre no.1203514381 with a speed of 100Mbps. Recently from 5th Sep.20 you have voluntarily upgraded the speed of my Silver plan to 150Mbps.

    I regret to say that the internet speed being pathetically low, I had to lodge repeated service request. Your engineers (Mr.Sachin/Mr.Sahni) after checking my router etc. in my house asked me to surrender this single router connection and get a new double router connection to get the contracted speed. They explained that I will get refund separately and for the new connection I have to deposit security 1500 etc. But the important point is I was told that I will lose my number 1203514381. I don’t understand the logic or desire to sail with your modalities in order to get my entitlement, by losing the phone number allotted to me.

    I am making this appeal to state that I want to continue with the same phone number as it has been printed as my landline in cards, records etc. and I don’t like to be forced to change this number. I would like to point out that it is your responsibility to give me the contracted speed with the appropriate equipment and it is unfair to ask me to surrender my connection to get my entitlement,which is definitely a deficiency in service. Pl therefore equip the connection properly so that I get the contracted speed and also retain my number.

    I never expected Jio to talk like a govt dept: “it is company policy”. I was planning to upgrade to 300Mbps! Pl. therefore address my grievance.
